Austrailia's Weather


Austrailia’s weather is highly variable depending upon location and time of the year. Summer (December to February) can get extremely hot almost everywhere in the country. Generally speaking, the further north one is, the hotter it gets. Year round, Northern Austrailia sees the hottest temperatures – the weather can be an almost unbearable 35C or more in the summer. Summers can get very humid in Northern Austrailia.


The weather in winter is much cooler and it can get quite cold in Southern Austrailia. The ski season is in winter which runs from June to August.

Generally speaking, Austrailia does not receive too much rainfall. The weather is in fact pleasant year round, making this an excellent holiday destination, though most people tend to travel here during the spring or summer months. Many people have emigrated to Austrailia as they have been attracted by such a warm and pleasant climate. Beach resorts are dependent upon the weather, which is good year round!

Sydney has a fine climate year round, though the best time to visit is in the summer. Melbourne also has mild weather in the winter, and hot summers. Sydney and Melbourne are the two most popular places for visitors.
