Lufthansa is a German airline - flights are via Frankfurt (and occasionally Munich), where stopovers are permitted. The airline has one of the most extensive worldwide networks of flights, and is generally very reliable. Flights are often about $50 less when booked in conjunction with a hotel reservation. In South America, there are flights to Mexico City, Caracas, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires. It is also possible to connect from Caracas to Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and various Central American destinations. In Brazil one can connect to various onward holiday destinations, and from Buenos Aires one can fly onwards to Santiago in Chile.
Lufthansa flights are some of the best value online. As Germany's national airline, you can find flights to a range of worldwide destinations, using the normal hub in Germany of Frankfurt. Lufthansa's other major hub is at Munich, though most flights are routed via Frankfurt, one of the most pleasant and efficient airports in Europe. As Germany's national airline, they often have very good value flights to Germany.
