Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula Haciendas

There's a range of truely luxurious haciendas in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula. These haciendas make excellent bases for exploring colonial cities such as Merida, or Mayan ruins such as those of Chitzen Itza. Hiking and horseback riding are also available at each of these luxury Mexican haciendas. Alternatively simply relax - these are really peaceful, luxury retreats in the Yucatan.

Hacienda Temozon - 28 luxurious rooms, swimming pool and spa. There's easy access to some of Mexico's best ruins, such as Chitzen Itza, Uxmal and Mayapan. Celustun nature reserve, with it's empty coastline and flamingoes is also near to Hacienda Temozon.

Hacienda Santa Rosa - just 11 rooms and 45 minutes from Merida airport. Uxmal and the Celustun Nature Reserve are both nearby.

Hacienda San Jose - 15 rooms and 45 minutes from Merida. Various archaelogical ruins such as Chitzen Itza, and wonderful colonial towns such as Izamal are close to Hacienda San Jose.

Hacienda Uayamon - further West in the Yucatan, this luxury hacienda is 30 minutes from the wonderful colonial town of Campeche, or two hours travel from Merida. There's nearby colonial towns, archaeological ruins and huge caves to explore.
