Venezuela's top travel highlight is Angels Falls - many people visit Venezuela for just that reason. Angels Falls are the worlds highest waterfall - try to visit during the rainy season. Nearby Canaima National Park, and Roraima , have great trekking opportunities. Venezuela's beaches are quite beautiful - Los Roques has some of the best, and has good diving. Isla Margarita is very popular for cheap package holidays. The colonial town of Merida is a fine base for trekking and advenure tours, while the Llanos region offers some of South america's best wildlife viewing. The only problem is the idiot of a leader (Chavez) that Venezuela has.
