It does make a great honeymoon or romantic vacation, but children will greatly enjoy the region in addition.
The Canadian side of Niagara is the most geared towards tourism with a large range of hotels to choose from, however it's worth a visit to the American side to experience a very different viewpoint. Sadly, the region is mainly full of chain hotels such as the Mariott, Sheraton and Embassy Suites. A huge range of hotels offer falls view rooms - make sure you ask for a room with a complete view, otherwise you might be disappointed by a view that is only partial.
Getting There
The Falls are 30 minutes drive from Buffalo Niagara International Airport (USA) or 90 minutes drive from Toronto airport in Canada.
There is also a train service from toronto to Niagara, and onwards to New York City.
Tips for Travelling Onwards
Niagara on the Lake is a pretty, historic town about 20 minutes drive from the falls. Heading further afield, it's easy to travel to either Toronto in Canada, or New York City in USA.
